Have your say in prescriptions nationally

An assortment on pills laying on a white worktop

A national consultation is happening soon, looking at whether GPs should change some of what they prescribe for patients.

Currently GPs prescribe many medicines that people can easily buy in shops or pharmacies, often more cheaply than the cost of a prescription.

There will be conversations over guidance on some ineffective, unsafe medicines & others that can be prescribed in more cost effective ways, recommending that none of these items are routinely prescribed by GPs.

The consultation period started on 5th September 2017 and will close 10th October 2017.  The next and last face-to-face event is based in Leeds 12th October 2017.  Click here for the details.

If you can’t go all the way up to Leeds do not fret! There is a webinar 10th October 2017. To watch the webinar and hear it for yourself. Click here to register!
