Neurological services in focus
04/07/2018
This week we held a workshop with people with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinsons, together with carers and staff working in neurological services.
In all 26 people attended for a lively discussion about the challenges and positives of neurological services. Issues ranged from the lack of support at diagnosis, wheelchair services through to housing and public facilities. One attendee said, "I've had Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years and I've never been to an event like this."
We have pledged to help the group act on their concerns and will explore how the group can continue raise the concerns of people with neurological disorders.
Read all about the event in our report Focus on Neurological services.
