Tell Kent County Council your thoughts on how they could save money

It’s no secret that Kent County Council is facing its toughest financial challenge for many years.
Kent County Council budget

Covid has meant that the Council have had a huge increase in spending to help communities cope but at the same time seen a reduction in their income from council tax and business rates.

Tough decisions will have to be made and finance leaders are asking the residents to think about two key areas: which services they think should be most protected, and whether the public support an increase in council tax to help fund these services.

The council still need to make savings of nearly £13 million this year to close the budget gap, so your opinion on where savings could be made really matters!

The consultation runs from 14th October to 24th November and you can find the questions HERE
