Have your say on changes to Kent's bus service

Kent County Council are asking for your thoughts on plans to make changes to the bus service here in Kent.
changes to the Kent bus service

Many bus routes in Kent are not profitable for private bus companies, but up until now have been funded by Kent County Council, because they were felt to be important. Examples include buses to some rural areas as well as weekend and evening bus services.

Kent County Council are proposing to end 48 bus contracts which will affect 55 bus services from this summer. This includes Kent Karrier, a dial-a-ride service which provides cheap travel for the elderly, residents who live in rural areas and those with serious health conditions.

They want to hear what you think about the proposals before April 20th.
