“I received a phone call telling me when, and where, my appointment was a few days in advance. I felt delighted to know I was going to have the vaccine and I couldn’t get there fast enough!
My vaccine was at a doctors surgery in Headcorn and they were very good at what they did. When I arrived, I waited in line before being called forward and I was asked my name. I then followed a one-way system and had my details checked again. After that I was taken into the doctor’s room for the vaccination. There were two people in the room, one person was writing out the appointment details on a card for me to take home and the other person was the doctor who did the injection. I felt very safe. Everyone was very kind and organised; I couldn’t praise them highly enough”.
Luckily Lesley could get a lift
“The vaccine appointment was sixteen miles away from home. My neighbour had to drive me as we live right out in the sticks and there isn’t any public transport. There’s a lot of old people in the village that don’t drive or even struggle to walk without assistance, so someone will have to help them to their appointments too. I would have preferred to have gone to my local doctors as it’s only a few minutes away but I suspect it wasn’t big enough.”
“I found it very good compared to on the TV, it was very organised! My next jab is in April, I’ll be glad to have it done.”
