What did you tell us in May?

Every month we review all the feedback we've heard. We're looking for the themes and trends in the information to see what we should be focusing on.

Every day we're on the look out for the quieter voices; the individual stories that might need urgent intervention or cases that might need escalating.

We anonymise your stories before sharing them directly with the right decision maker so they can hear your experience and use it to improve the service for other people.

This report gives you an overview of what we heard in May and what happened as a result.

Headlines include:

  • Access to services remains the biggest issues with people desperate to see a GP or NHS dentist. We are asking GPs to consider how they can make it easier for their patients to contact the surgery.
  • Waiting for care is a big issue. The cost of living crisis means that many people don’t have the option of paying for private treatment. People told us how this perfect storm is affecting their mental health. We are asking the NHS to be clearer with people how long they may be waiting and what they can do to help them in the meantime.
  • Changes to prescriptions and worries about being able to get your repeat prescription is also affecting your mental health. We took this feedback to those that oversee medication planning in Kent and Medway and have helped shape changes in how Community Pharmacies can now support you.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us; your feedback helps to improve services for other people.
