Helping you get your vaccine

People contact us about a whole range of issues, but this week we were able to help someone get their Covid vaccine.

Vaccinations are one of the top four issues that people have contacted us about this year. People have called us with questions about their allergies, concerns about the vaccine and their long term health conditions and worries about when they will be eligible for the vaccine. We've tried to answer everyone's question.

Last month we had a call from a lady who had recently moved. She hadn't yet been able to register with a local GP and she was worried that she couldn't get her vaccine.

We told her that she needed to get her NHS number and this would enable her to book an appointment online.

However a few weeks later she was still unable to book so she got in touch with us again.

What did we do?

We got in touch with the Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Group who are responsible for the vaccine roll out. They understood the issue and offered to get it sorted.

They spoke to the GP surgery and discovered that a mistake had been made when they were entering her phone number which was why she was unable to book. They then arranged for her vaccine to be booked.

The CCG now have a Vaccination Helpline for all your vaccine questions.

Phone 0330 320 4444 between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Translation services are available.
